FAQ: Lashes, Waxing, Permanent makeup

  • WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers that replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied individually to the natural lash with a professional adhesive that is fume, latex, and formaldehyde free. Eyelash extensions can lengthen and thicken your natural eyelashes. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel entirely natural.

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO APPLY EYELASH EXTENSIONS AND HOW IS IT DONE?

The application process for a complete set of lashes can usually take 1.5 - 3 hours; for a fill, it is 1 - 1.75 hours, depending on the volume and the number of natural lashes the client has. You will come in and lay down on a spa table while relaxing to music or a podcast. Your lower lashes will be covered, and the lashes will be applied one by one to your top lashes.

  • HOW LONG DO THEY USUALLY LAST?

A full set of eyelash extensions should last as long as your natural lash cycle, which is 4-6 weeks. Every client has a different lifestyle so it can vary. We highly recommend coming in for a fill every 2-3 weeks to keep them nice and full!

  • CAN I WEAR MAKEUP WITH MY LASHES?

Yes, you can wear makeup except for mascara with your lashes. Eyelash extensions are designed to add length and fullness to your lashes, so mascara is unnecessary.

    • When working out, wear sweatband or keep a sweat towel.

  • WILL LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

A number of factors influence this, including your location, pain tolerance, the way your body metabolizes anesthetics, and even whether you are having your menstrual cycle. Some clients may experience discomfort, particularly during the beginning of a procedure before the barrier of the skin has been broken. We do use anesthetics to reduce the amount of pain. Some people fall asleep. Pain will vary per person.

  • What's a touchup and when will I need one?

The touch-up appointment is for perfecting. It is where we make all minor necessary adjustments. During this appointment, we will build on top of your initial procedure and then you will see your desired result after healing.

Touch ups are recommended 8-10 weeks after your initial appointment. The skin is not fully healed until this point. You cannot come earlier than 6 weeks for your touch-up.

Touchups are not included in New Service cost

During the initial healing process, the area must remain clean and free of all cosmetics, creams, serums, and any other skin care products.

After peeling and healing, you are free to resume your regular skin care regimen and wear any kind of makeup you would like. However, please be aware to not use products with AHA/BHA, retinol, or peels on the area. These products cause premature fading to any area of micropigmentation due to their exfoliation properties.
